Nobel Peace Prize winner John Hume is an enthusiastic supporter of Plan Ireland. He and his wife Pat sponsor a child in El Salvador. In May 2008 he was the guest speaker at Plan Ireland’s Gala Ball. His endorsement of Plan Ireland on an RTE TV Nationwide programme was seen by an audience of 330,000.

Support the Girl Friendly schools campaign
Plan Ireland also seeks your support to increase the number of girls receiving education in Togo by building and upgrading schools to make them “girl friendly”.
