Children are at the heart of everything we do

Since its foundation during the Spanish Civil War, Plan International (originally called The Foster Parents Plan for Children in Spain), has become one of the world’s leading child-centred development organisations and now works in 49 developing countries.

Established in 2003 Plan Ireland receives tremendous support from the Irish public over 7,000 of whom sponsor children. For just €22 a month they help us to improve the lives of children and communities in the developing world. Why not become a sponsor now?

Plan Ireland also receives support from corporate donors and the Irish Government through the Irish Aid programme. This support enables us to focus on long term development projects covering health, education, habitat, livelihood and relationship building. Projects include anti-child trafficking programs, support for orphans and vulnerable children, child media projects and support for street children.
