Except for death or personal injury arising through our negligence, Plan Ireland shall in no event be liable for any damages including, without limitation, indirect or consequential damages, whatsoever arising from or in connection with the use or loss of use of the site, or any content on the site.
4. Plan Ireland can change these Terms and Conditions at any time by posting changes online under this section “Terms and Conditions”. Your continued use of this site after changes have been posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
5. Plan Ireland does not guarantee that the site’s facilities and functions will be free from error or uninterrupted, that the site or the server that makes it available to you are free of viruses or bugs, that defects will be corrected, or that the content on the site is accurate or complete.
6. Plan Ireland takes no responsibility for the content of external Internet sites linked to or cited on this site.

Any communication or material (including without limitation any data, questions, comments and suggestions) that you transmit to, or post on any public area of this site (including without limitation chatrooms, fora, bulletin boards), will be treated as non-confidential and non-proprietary information unless otherwise stated by Plan Ireland. 8. If you sign up to become a sponsor on line you have the right to cancel at any time.
9. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of the Republic of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the Republic of Ireland.
10. If you do not accept these Terms and Conditions in full, you must stop using this site immediately. We reserve the right to prevent you accessing this site, without prejudice to any of our other rights, if we consider that you have contravened our Policy on Privacy and Use of Information or any of these Terms and Conditions.
What are "cookies," and does the Plan website use "cookies?" A "cookie" is a small piece of data that is sent to your browser from Plan's web server and is stored on your computer's hard drive. As is consistent with internet standard practice, the Plan site uses cookies.
How does Plan use "cookie" information and can I control its use?
Cookie information is used by Plan for tracking which areas of our website you have visited, and how frequently. No personal information is tracked or stored as we are simply reporting technical statistics such as browser type and size, in order to ensure that our site is most effective across the range of technology used throughout the world. The information Plan Ireland collects about you helps us to understand more about how our site is used and how we can improve it, and enables us to send you the communications that interest you. We are committed to safeguarding your privacy online and otherwise.
In this section (which forms part of the Terms and Conditions of this site) you can read how Plan treats information about you and how we ask you to treat any information you receive about sponsored children.

1. Who is collecting my information? When you are on the Plan Ireland's website and are prompted to input any information, you will be sharing your personal information with Plan and its third party web suppliers. Our third party web suppliers will only use this information in connection with Plan and/or sponsorship and will not use it for any other purpose.
2. What kind of information would Plan Ireland collect from me? When you visit Plan Ireland’s website we aim to collect information about which pages you have accessed, when and the visitor IP address. Furthermore visitors to our website can be asked to volunteer information about themselves through participating in surveys, forwarding their email and / or postal addresses to be on our mailing list for future communications, informing us of their preferred means of communication, requesting to be on a specific mailing list, or if they ask to sponsor a child or support us by giving a donation or purchasing an item from our on-line brochure. We may, for example, keep a record of your name and gender, e-mail address, postal address and telephone number.
3. How would you use my information? Plan uses the information we collect about you for our internal use only. The data on our site is collected and analysed by a third party, ICAN, who has access to your data. However this third party is not authorised by Plan to use this data in any way other than to provide the services authorised by Plan. Both Plan and ICAN will not disclose any of your personal information to anyone, except when we have your permission or under special circumstances when the law requires it. The information we obtain helps us understand better how our site is used. Your contact details are also used to send you a quarterly communication, together with any other information about Plan as well as information and correspondance about your sponsored child and his/her family, community and country. If you do not want to receive any further communications from Plan, please email us at info@plan.ie.
4. Would I be able to update, delete or correct my personal information? Plan relies on the accuracy of your personal information. We are working on ways to make it easier for you to review and correct the information that Plan maintains about you. In the meantime, if you change your email address or are aware that any of the other information we hold about you is inaccurate or out of date, please email us at info@plan.ie
5.What about security precautions to protect the loss, misuse, or alteration of my information? When you give Plan Ireland personal information, we take all reasonable steps to ensure that the information will be stored and processed securely, in accordance with this policy and with the Data Protection Legislation.
6. What if I sign up to sponsor a child? If you choose to sponsor a child through Plan Ireland’s website, the information you provide will be used in connection with the administration of your sponsorship. Your name and the name of the country where you live will be sent to the Foster Parents Plan International Inc. offices in the country and region where your sponsored child lives; local Plan staff will then give this information to the child and their family. These countries may not have laws protecting the privacy of personal data. Your information may also be accessed by staff at Plan’s International Headquarters in England (FPPI Limited).
7. What about information I receive about my sponsored child? As a condition of your sponsorship, you agree to respect the sensitive nature of any information you receive about your sponsored child and his / her family and not to misuse that information in any way. In particular, you agree not to publish any information that identifies your sponsored child or his / her family unless they have given you their informed consent.
8. Plan’s respect for the children shown on this site. To protect the privacy of the children we work with, photographs and names used on this site are not necessarily those of the actual children concerned.

Terms and conditions for the use of banners and logo
The use of Plan Ireland banners and/or logo is subject to you agreeing to the following terms:

Plan is the sole owner of the Plan logo. Your use of the logo acknowledges Plan’s ownership of the logo. Plan reserves the right to take action against any use of the logo that does not conform to any of the conditions herein, or that infringes any intellectual property or other rights of Plan or violates applicable law. All use of or goodwill associated with the logo will convey to the benefit of Plan Ireland.

Use of the logo does not indicate or create any endorsement, approval, sponsorship or affiliation of or with your website by Plan. The logo is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation, warranties of title of non-infringement. Use of the logo is solely at your own risk.
Plan hereby grants you a license to use the logo, provided that you agree:
- The logo will be used solely for the purpose of linking to Plan Ireland website
- The link will always be an active link.
- The logo will always stand alone and will not be combined with any other graphical elements.
- The logo will not be altered in any manner including its size, proportions, font, design, arrangement, colors or elements or animated, morphed or otherwise distorted in perspective or appearance.
- The logo will not appear more prominently than your personal, company, product or service website name.
- The logo will be displayed in a positive manner and will not be used in any way that adversely affects Plan or our products, services or programmes.

The license further depends on your agreement to these terms:
- The logo will not appear on any pages of websites including content or advertising for alcoholic beverages, tobacco, religious or political material or firearms.
- The logo will not appear on pages including content, which Plan finds in its sole discretion to be objectionable or which includes obscene, pornographic, violent, intolerant, tasteless, denigrating or sexually oriented content or materials.
- The logo will not create or give the appearance of creating an endorsement, approval, sponsorship, affiliation or recommendation of any product or service by Plan.
The license further depends on your agreement that the logo will not be used or displayed in any way that disparages Plan or our products, services or programmes, infringes any intellectual property or other rights of Plan, violates any national or international law, or diminishes or otherwise damages Plan’s goodwill in the logo.
Plan reserves the right to make any change to the information and/or license provided herein at any time for any reason. You acknowledge and agree that you are responsible for keeping up with any such changes.
Plan reserves the right to revoke the logo license for any reason, in which case you agree to remove the link and stop use of the logo within 2 business days of notice of revocation. In such a case, you will be prohibited from reinstating the link or using the logo without further written permission from Plan.
The law of the Republic of Ireland shall govern this agreement.
