Welcome to Eastern and Southern Africa
Plan’s Eastern and Southern Africa region stretches from Zimbabwe all the way up to Egypt.
Plan works with over 250,000 sponsored children in the region, spread out over eleven countries, speaking more than 200 different languages. Deserts, highlands, palm studded beaches, savannas, tropical rain forests and urban jungles you will find in this region.
In 2007-08 Plan started starting operations in Mozambique and Rwanda. Plan Albania functioned under the Eastern, Southern Africa and Europe region, however Plan is in the progress of closing operations in Albania, it is anticipated Plan will cease programs in the country in 2007.
