Uganda
Uganda is a landlocked country that stretches along the equator in the heart of the African continent. The mountains of Uganda contain the main source of the river Nile.
Approximately 80% of the working population is employed in the agricultural sector of the economy, both for subsistence and for cash income. Major crops include coffee, cotton, tea, tobacco, and cocoa. Food crops include bananas, cereals, beans, and peanuts.
While education is valued by much of the population, many parents cannot afford to send their children to school and provide the necessary uniforms, textbooks and supplies.
Plan’s work
